    Maxx Automotive Corporation

Almost a year ago I tried to buy a Turtletop/Ultramax from these people. Had money in hand but they would not respond. I have since found out they had 25 Turtletops ordered from Turtletop manufacturers and never took delivery. I think they are having financial trouble but don't know because...

New Driver - Now having MPG Issues - Questions??

New driver is probably it. He could also just be letting it idle and that sounds to me like it. Most new drivers think the governer is the place to run a diesel. That's not the way anymore.

    Blog: Engel Refrigerator

Yes he does a great job on his blog with great information. I like that cooler but I don't like the price tag, but I guess you get what you pay for. I guess if anything in a truck last more than a year it's a good item. I'm specing a new truck now and working on the cabinets with refer space...

    Hazmat's Ford TerraMaxx

I guess he has an argument but I've done the changes in two C/Vans w/6.0 engines and gained 2mpg in each one. Now if you go to an even higher range than yes it would. Chevy makes a 3.55 then a 3.42 those would not work. I have a p/up with a 3.42 and it's crap in the hills with a load. I'll...

    Hazmat's Ford TerraMaxx

Hey Hazmat. 20,000 miles @ 2 more mpg would have gotten two 3.73 gears. Just off the top of my head about 2400 in gas savings.

    Code reader for gas engines.

Whichever model you get, you will get your money's worth. I've used them for years. I wear them out and get a new one. The only reason I have worn them out is swapping vehicles all the time. Now both of my C/Vans have them and if they made one for big Pets's I'd have it on each of them. If...

    Mercedes Benz MB-900 EGR Valve/Cooler

Regardless whether or not your a mechanic it's a good thing to buy a service manual that covers the type engine you have. You don't want to be completely ignorant when talking to a mechanic who is about to take several thousand dollars out of your pocket and may not know anymore than you. You...

    Generator Mounting Options

Water temp is just that "Water Temp". Engine temp measures the heat in the engine.

    Generator Mounting Options

I to ran into the same problem. I think the front reciever is like you say good but what about engine heat. I have struggled with that. Water temp will run about the same but with most C/Vans not having an engine temp/guage it is questionable. I would not put it on the front w/out an Engine...

    Suspension.

Anybody know if you can run Equal in Nitrogen filled tires??

    Suspension.

The wiggle is probably coming from a worn out idler arm. Easy to replace. It will also cause the tire to cup along with the alignment.

    which spark plugs

All newer model Chevy's have factory Iridium tipped plugs. I would spend a little extra and get factory plugs from Napa and not have to worry about warranty. I mean the warranty on the plugs not the engine. Since the new GM engine was introduced they started using Iridium tipped plugs. I'll...
