    Flat or Van?

Flat bed is more flexible for LTL. Even if it's a couple of pallets you can use a tarp to hold it together. Most guys buy a 4 dr Dodge and use the back for a sleeper but I have heard that DOT doesn't recognize that. If your running 26000 GVW or less it doesn't matter. I would never use a...

ARI's New High-Rise Package With Walk-Through Sleeper Opening

That's a good idea but the 14' box has a C/Van rate and that won't support that rig. I still like that. anyway to see the inside???

    Chevy express c van

A 99, I would do like I do at that mileage. Remove everything off the front of the motor and replace it ie. water pump, thermo, alt, p/strg pump while it off look at the timing chain. Timing chain shouldn't be bad they were steel then. All hoses, belts, replace them with silicon hoses...

    APU unit question

If the unit is fairly new it could be a sensor and or where the condensor is mounted. The condensor fan might not be able to pull enough air through the condensor to cool it. It's not getting the air and it has cycled (shut off) for any amount of time it could cause the sensor to go bad. A...

Best Starting battery for a gm van.

I wouldn't buy anything from Auto Zone, especially anything electrical. Yes you can get free check ups and stuff but things like Alternators, Starters are bid out for rebuilding. There was a piece done about it in the news awhile back that investigated this. The companies doing the rebuilding...

New Plant for Morgan body in SC

You can under tag a vehicle as long as you don't exceed the weight of the tag. You cannot over tag the GVW of the tag at least in SC. They have all types of vehicles in the computor at the DMV and they look at that when you buy a tag. Don't know about other states. They put in the VIN number...

High oil pressure - 3126 engine

Oil pump on a Cat is an easy fix. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty. I would change the sensor and then check the pressure before you go out on a load. It will tell you right away.

New Plant for Morgan body in SC

Morgan bodys, builder of truck body's is opening a new plant in Charleston SC to retrofit Sprinters for Fed Ex, Ryder and others. Will be in operation in the fall. Composit bodys. Maybe something like the Turtletop or Cargo Max maybe. Thought this might interest the Sprinter folks. Doesn't...

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

Get my two cents worth in. Great job welding and extending the frame. I know the comments will come about GVW, logging all the junk but I think it would really cool with a drop axle behind the live axle. Just throwing ideas around. Can't wait to see the final results.

    Anyone Using These??

I haven't used those but a month ago I purchased the Trico long life blades and they are junk. $45 bucks. They skip across the windshield if there isn't enough water. Rubber on the blades are to hard.

    Box for straight truck

Right now you can get a good deal from most box manufacturer's. The larger the better. What I would do is get the box and a new lift gate with an extended bed and finance it as a package. It will make more work available to you and a lot less headaches.

How can I tell if my truck may have been hit by lightning

I'm not an expert but a friend had lightning hit his truck and he took it in to the KW dealer. The mechanic told him the truck should not be effective because the tires ground it. But he also said the computers are the problem because the cabs are not grounded as well as the engine etc...

    Bug removal

Good idea. What I do is when I get a new truck I have the front Scotch Guarded. A little pricey (about $500 bucks for a C/Van) but never worry about rock damage, bugs or anything. Bugs wash right off. Most company's that apply camo or murals to trucks do it.

    Hazmat's Ford TerraMaxx

I was wondering why that was there. Be careful, looks like a trip and fall down and bust your chops kind of hazard.

That's the best looking floor I've seen. Good job. Pallets should slide very easily.

    Hazmat's Ford TerraMaxx

I may have missed it but I see Ultra Max and Terra Max is not at the Expo like last year. I guess they haven't sold enough of these vehicles in our market to justify it. Any input on this??
