Sitting at the J in Dallas, Texas. Been here since about noon today. Dropped this morning in Nacogdoches. Put us on the Shreveport board. Figured Shreveport and Houston were a bust so headed on over here. Currently 5th on board 4th team out. Looks like we might be here a day or two. :(

Well, we're still sitting here in Dallas. Moved up to 1st yesterday. Not sure if the other trucks got loads or just dh'd out. Offered us a 400+ load last night to Corpus Cristy. Turned it down. Would just be 400 miles further into the black-hole if we end up dh'ing out. Nothing much seems to be moving in Texas right now. Got friends been down in Laredo for seven days now. They just got a load out going to Iowa. Figure there is no way I'm going down there to sit. Had two mini offers today but both were going further into Texas. Would take a mini if it is going East. Hope to get something before the day is up. Some friends of ours that drive for Panther were sitting here beside us. They got a load going to Charlotte, N.C. earlier today. Reduced rate at 1.00 a mile but at least if is getting them back into the freight game.

I'm relaxing at the Best Western in Jeffersonville, In. The truck is at Freightliner getting a new head gasket. This cold long neck sure hits the spot...

You know, I don't whine about slow weeks, favoritism in dispatch, greedy carriers, etc - but that comment just aint FAIR! :D

Turned down a load to Corpus eh? Be a lot better quality waiting there than Dallas. Sides, lots comes out of the Army Depot there. Not to mention, you'd be in striking distance for the Valley, San Antonio and Houston. Did you really look at it? Or, did ya regress yer grey process cause of a Truck Stop conversation with an "expert"? Not throwing a stone here, jes wonder'in whatcha tink'in?

They got me back out of Denver in less than 24 after dropping in Avon, CO. Sitting in Olathe, KS right now, after dropping this morning in Tecumseh (Topeka) It appears that I brought the warm weather with me ...... partly sunny and about 68°F (was colder and windy here yesterday apparently)

Probably head down to the J in Peculiar, MO in bit if I don't get anything today.

Man, they are running you hard. It's been a while since my people ran me like that. As a matter of fact, I have come back in service last wednesday (after I relpaced my water pump) and been sitting at home in Atlanta since then. Yesterday I got an offer of a <75 load, which I accepted, but someone else got it, so still no load for a week. Stinks.

I've gone past the Fort Wayne, Indiana truck stop the past three days and have seen the same class8 FedEx CC straight truck sitting there in the same space. That is sure a long time to wait for a load

I'm sitting at the TA in Seville, and Mr Snappy is next door, making the place look better with his cool truck. I bet I could read by the lights on it, lol It's beeeautiful!
PS He's a really nice guy, too - didn't even get upset at me for asking whether his username was Mr Snappy or Mrs Nappy, back before he added the space to it....:D

Well, right now there is very little coming off the mexican/us border. To take a load to Corpus Cristy would be a bad business decision. As far as better quality location, might be a nice area but would be sitting a lot longer. I know some drivers say they sit for 7, 8 days even weeks. I'm not willing to do that. Been sitting here for 2 days and am very antsy about this length of time. Have a much better chance of getting a load back into the freight line from Dallas then Corpus. As for loads from San Antonio and Houston, not a real big chance of that. Know of a truck thats been there over a week now without a load. Same with Laredo and El Paso. Don't mind a mini load or reduced rater as long as it is going in the right direction. Now

Now if they want to send me to the border they need to make it worth my while, like maybe to Los Angelos or Calexico. Take it in a heartbeat, even at a reduce. Phoneix AZ or even Oklahoma City I would take, but Laredo, Brownsville, Corpus, ect, nope would just be putting us deeper in the whole. Things pick-up down there then I will be glad to go. Not right now.

This one of the great things about E/O.getting to meet some of the members. Just had the pleasure of meeting cheri1112. I am parked next to her at the T/A in Lodi,Oh.

It was nice talking to such a positive person in such tough times that we are all having.there must be about 8 other Panther trucks here.I have always enjoyed reading cheri1112 post and enjoy learning from her knowledge of the expediting business.and never in my 5 years would I have dreamed of sleeping next to her...LOL.....

So I guess I will borrow a line from a famous hotel chain, Cheri I will leave the light on for you......
