24' Morgan box - roof repair in New England?

A 24' box should be easy to replace. Most truck dealers if they don't have any I'm sure the parts people can tell you where to get one. I have a junk yard a couple of miles from the house that usually has 2-3 of them all the time. My sister site is www.trucking4green.com/

Decision Time and Need Serious Help

Be careful there is more to gearing than just final drive. Transmission comes into play along with tire size as well as local, flat or type of driving. Try to read this site and more like them. <http://www.trucktestdigest.com/axle%20ratios.htm> If your running local and just starting out...

    Extended warrenty

I know the dealer that I buy my Chevy C/Vans has commercial warranties available and I always buy one with the unit. They always give a price over a thousand bucks but I never pay more than 600. and it's worth every penny. I lost a transmission on a truck at 70k miles, they towed it and fixed...

    Nissan NV

I talked with the dealer in the Expo. Nice looking truck but 2 pallets. He did say that Nissan in the next two years will have one two foot longer and will take 3 pallets. If it looks as good as these then Sprinters will have a big run for their money. You can get a two pallet truck for...

Why am I overheating and losing coolant?

Get an oil sample. It will tell you if the antifreeze is going into the engine. Do you see white smoke from the stake when going down the road? Is water dripping from the pipe? Yes does sound like a blown head gasket. Need to find out as soon as possible because if it is a head gasket and...

Well forget what I said before. If you have rod issues and have pulled the pistons I would put in a inframe kit. If you are doing the work get a kit from Detroit, don't use generic on Detroits. Cost's alittle more but you won't regret it. If a shop is doing it, well dig deep and pray.

No. Your crank will maintain the same position. It will take about 8 hrs to do that size engine. About inspecting pistons, that's a personnal call. If your not loosing compression and not using oil I wouldn't bother. What does the lab say about your oil samples?? If your oil sample says...

    Rooftop a.c. vs apu

I have many friends who use APU systems and they all love them. Yes the old units will not cool like they did new. When they get 5 yrs or older they loose their punch. 5 yrs of pounding on our smooth American hwys will kill about anything. I know one guy R/R the condensor and compressor...

No. Drop the pan and replace all. Also new bearings and seals. Check the crank for gouges and deep scratchs. Make sure you don't put then on backwards if your doing it. Put everything back exactly in the same order you removed them. If someone doing it for you, tell them to overhaul the...

    Air Conditioner question

My Chevy C/Van has a roll around. Mounted behind the pass/seat and using an optional window kit and exhaust tube goes out the right window. The window vent unit can be cut for the window opening. It has a pan that goes under it for draining and it slides out for draining. Driver say's it...

    Truck is acting retarded

Gate valve in the turbo is not opening all the way. To much back pressure. If thats not it you have restriction on the boost side of the engine. That's where the air goes to the in/ side of the engine. The hoses that connect the aluminum boost tubes sometimes seperate on the inside and...

NEW Pictures, Chef Dennis's Cargo Max

Snap in barrier sounds cool. That might get her some more business. Can't wait to see that. That would work good for the guy's in Sprinters as well.

NEW Pictures, Chef Dennis's Cargo Max

Happy 4th Dennis. Doesn't seem like you ever get done working on these things no matter what size they are. Anyway looks good and if nothing happens will see you and the rig in a couple of weeks. When you close the curtain in the back is that to help keep the cold air and heat in?

    CAT problems

A good friend of mine had 75 Petes with C-15 cat engines. Cat gave them nothing but grief on warranty work. He got so mad he sold the 75 trucks and bought Cummins ISX engines. Never been happier. Now if you have one do not take it to a truck dealer for engine work. Take it only to CAT.
