Load Canceled

We have a lot to do once we are assigned a load.   First we enter the address in our GPS, fill out the bill of lading (BOL), and then get rolling.   Once we are rolling, our minds are looking forward to where we are picking up and what will the route will be to the delivery.   I enter the load information and pay into my load spreadsheet and determine how much of an advance I will load onto our fuel card.  I then open Streets and Trips and add a color coded pin to the map for our pickup and our delivery, and next I run the route.   Whoever is driving will look at the fuel gauge and we will start to determine in our minds about where we will need to get fuel.   We will also be thinking of where we are going to deliver and where the nearest Express Center will be.   After all of this thinking and planning is going on we get the message “Load Canceled”.   This is a rough message as we have left our parking spot at the truck stop and sometimes it can be hard to find another one.   We are now back in waiting status just waiting for the ding of the Qualcomm!
