Fuel for Thought
The Weekend Report
The week started slow enough that it had me contemplating
what I do to keep my patience. By the end of the week, three loads for more
than 1000 miles, and I managed to do some shopping.
Espar of Michigan. I wasn’t planning on doing this kind of shopping. Thursday morning during my breakfast, my heater turned itself off. Troubleshooting from the owners manual didn’t help, so I called Ray Lawrence at Espar of Michigan. Five minutes of troubleshooting over the phone and the heater was running again, so we pretty much had the problem identified. Some people don’t believe in luck, but I was already within six miles of my favorite Espar dealer. Better luck was that this day the mechanic, who does work for Ray, was even closer on another job. I figured it would be best to do a proper fix while I had access to the right parts and people, so they squeezed me into their schedule. By early afternoon, I was back in service with a new blower motor in the Espar. Ray installed the unit in September of 2009, and it ran 5700 hours trouble free. Thank you, Ray, Brian and Clint.
Got a new flashlight. I’ve been needing a good light, and I ran across a good deal at Costco—a sturdy tactical LED flashlight in a two-pack for $25. I don’t know much about Feit Electric, but the flashlight is sturdy and appears well made. The photo shows the tightness of the light beam fully zoomed in. The square patch of light is a little strange, but that’s the world we live in today. I’ve been thinking about getting a spotlight for reading street signs, and this flashlight is going to be able to do that job.
