Out Of Service--Repairs

After a really good two weeks, I decided to take off a half week and work on a couple projects. I delivered, took a quick nap, and since the unlikely freight didn’t materialize (it was still the weekend), I sent in my out of service macro and headed to one of my favorite driveways. With 200 miles to go, the alternator light came on. The belt seemed to be working okay, but voltage was definitely low. I’ve been here before. I connected my jumper cable to the battery and ran it back to my solar panel. That trick works as long as the serpentine belt is still turning all the engine components, the computer cooperates, and the sun shines. I eventually made it to the dealership. En route I had a chance to accidently meet up with forum member, Guido. I could only manage a quick hello, because I was also sporting a terrific headache. He was under a load and had to keep moving anyway. It’s quite a small world we work in.
