Happy New Year

Happy New Year. The holiday week kept me moving, and I still managed to visit family from Dallas to Michigan. I started the run in Mississippi on the Saturday before Christmas. Load One gave me a Merry Christmas empty move to Dallas. On Boxing Day I took a load to Little Rock, Arkansas. On my own I started to head towards St Louis and intercepted a load going north of St Louis. After my delivery I worked my way back towards family in St Louis and met Team Caffee on the way. Once again I got a weekend load that delivered in Michigan on New Year’s Eve. I spent the New Year with Michigan family, and dispatch had me on reserve for a load first thing January 2. That’s how I manage my holidays. It’s a lot of gambling that doesn’t always work out the way I plan. Last year I ended up in Savanna, Georgia when I was trying to run the western lanes. In the end somehow everything always manages to work out--maybe not how I want or expect, but things always work out.
