Evolution Of The Squirrel
Evolution of the squirrel. I may have witnessed a new level of squirrel intelligence yesterday driving through Missouri. It was the standard panicked squirrel in the middle of highway traffic, except this guy’s intelligence overrode panic mode. Traffic screamed by in two lanes, and he crawled along with nervous jitters as he hugged the center line. Hopefully, he figured out how to exit the freeway and lived to see another day.
A new approach. First time ever I flew into Laredo and didn’t exit before the Bob Bullock Loop. Swoosh—straight through the World Trade International Bridge interchange. The special surprises in life.
After delivery I went out of service for less than an hour for the quickest, slickest, cleanest oil change in the automotive world—Mercedes designed such a fine oil change. Back in service, and Laredo is still all mine. Looks like Todd got out before my arrival.
Pace is still slow. Maybe this month’s
correlation is slow freight equals loads to Laredo. No matter. I get by when it’s
slow, and I capitalize when the freight picks up. I prefer 45 degrees, but I’ll
take 95 degrees when others (or me) can still be sloshing through the snow. 95 degrees also stimulates the auxiliary air conditioner design process.
It’s Tuesday, so I can still make it to MATS in Louisville.
Blue Bell ice cream alert. Regular price for a pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream at HEB is only $1.89. And on sale for $1.69. Who would think I could call Laredo heaven?
