Back To Work

It only took a new alternator to get the van rolling again. Ten hours back in service, and I had freight to haul. I ended up losing a week and a half of work, but I also made progress on other projects.

One project is close to completion. I have a slow drip from the rear roof vent when the rain rains a certain way. I’m trying a new product from Rustoleum to seal around the vent. Leak Seal is a spray-on, thick rubber coating. It applies so thickly it is tricky to apply. It comes in black, white and clear. I need another special kind of rain to see if I need to add more sealer.

The new bunk is coming together nicely. I should have photos in the next couple weeks. The frame is made of aluminum extrusion. It runs the width of the van between the seats and freight. The framework is functionally complete. Final adjustments will give it the finished look, and I’ll be sleeping off the floor again.
