The Trump Card...

He could pardon himself. He would be the chief law enforcement officer of the country.
Impeachment proceedings are only political procedures and not criminal. He couldn’t pardon himself from an impeachment vote.
He wasn’t charged with a crime while in office. The unhinged Left waited until he was out of office to bring unfounded criminal charges.
There we have it, folks. If Trump pardoned himself, it would stand unquestioned by everyone ... because muttly says so.

Is Trump Returning to Twitter?

We'll know at the end of June.

"Trump has an exclusivity agreement with Truth Social. This means he must share all his social-media communications on the platform first and "may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours," Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings show.

"However, The New York Times reported that Trump is not considering re-signing the deal when it expires by the end of June. The newspaper added that the former president hopes to return to Twitter, where Trump has more than 86 million followers compared to the 5.4 million he has on Truth Social."

President Ford pardoned Nixon after he was impeached and even before potential criminal charges were brought.
Wrong.... The House Judicial Committee halted hearings when Nixon resigned. Impeachment proceedings never even started. Smh

I concur:
I agree that Trump is not being charged with committing acts of espionage. Nothing in the indictment suggests he is. What Biden people have said Trump has been charged with acts of espionage? Names? Quotes? This sounds like a straw-man accusation to me.

Under Seal

Because the Trump Mar-a-Lago documents case (national security case) involves classified documents, a number of filings will be done under seal. One such filing was made today. We don't know what it was because it's sealed. It's going to be like that a lot between now and trial. While there will be a good amount of legal activity, it will not be disclosed to the public.

“Under seal”. The DOJ’s seal from leaks has been as permeable as that Titan submersible.

Prosecutors with special counsel Jack Smith’s team asked Cannon to reschedule the trial for Dec. 11. They said the delay was necessary because the case involves classified information and will require Trump’s lawyers to obtain security clearances.
That brings up another point, will the people who serve on a jury be required to have security clearances?

I'm not certain, but I don't think so. I've heard talk about special rules that govern cases where classified documents are part of the evidence. While documents and info are handled in a certain way under the rules, I don't think the jurors in such cases have to have security clearances. I've also heard commentators say DOJ did not indict counts for each of the hundreds of documents in question but a smaller number. The commentators suggested that was because the documents not charged were so sensitive they did not want them talked about in court.

More about this here, regarding the Classified Information Procedures Act.

It seems Judge Cannon has already decided the classified documents in question are indeed classified documents. Trump has said he declassified the documents. No sale. The judge ain't buying it.

Is Guiliani Flipping on Trump?

The news stories are still developing, but it appears that, yes, Guiliani is flipping on Trump. And that is HUGE. If Guiliani flips, everyone in Trump's inner circle and Trump himself will be exposed. Their illegal actions and intent will become fully known and easier to charge and prosecute.

New York Times:

"Rudolph W. Giuliani, who served as former President Donald J. Trump’s personal lawyer, was interviewed last week by federal prosecutors investigating Mr. Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, people familiar with the matter said.

"The voluntary interview, which took place under what is known as a proffer agreement, was a significant development in the election interference investigation led by Jack Smith, ...."

Key words: voluntary interview, and proffer.

Per ChatGPT:

"A proffer refers to an offer or proposal made in a legal context. It typically occurs during legal proceedings, such as negotiations, settlement discussions, or trials. When one party presents evidence or information to the other party, it is referred to as a proffer. The purpose of a proffer is to provide an opportunity for parties to exchange information, reach agreements, or resolve a legal matter without going through a full trial.

"In criminal law, a proffer may occur when a defendant offers to provide information or cooperate with the prosecution in exchange for a plea deal or a reduced sentence. The defendant's proffer typically includes details about the information they are willing to provide and the potential value of their cooperation to the prosecution's case."
