Another Trial Begins for Trump; This One a Rape Lawsuit

Nobody cares about this. 81 million allegedly voted for Biden despite the Tara Reid “incident”.
Also this: (Judge)

Why debate at all if you're leading in the polls by a lot? Just campaign and get the nomination.

Donald Trump cares. He sent attorneys to represent him i this trial. He provided depositions before the trial. He has commented a lot about the plaintiff. Yep. Trump cares about this. He is paying close attention and actively participating.

More evidence that Trump cares deeply about this. He is talking about the case on social media and incurring the ire of the judge by doing so. If Trump is not careful, he could tweet himself into a contempt hearing, large fine and maybe even jail. The judge has warned him twice.

"The federal judge overseeing the civil trial in which Donald Trump is accused of rape admonished the former president for a social media post in which he called the lawsuit 'a made up SCAM.'

"'Trump could be “tampering with a new source of potential liability,' U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan told one of Trump’s lawyers in court on Wednesday.

Yea, you said that before. Repeating it makes it no more or less valid than when you said it the first time. And, as a practical matter, does it matter?

However you choose to characterize this case, Trump is on trial regarding a lawsuit in which the plaintiff says he raped her. As you point out the president that appointed the judge, a jury is now listening to the plaintiff's testimony, other witnesses, and Trump's attorneys. They are not listening to Trump because Trump chose to not attend this civil proceeding (his option and right).

It is interesting that Trump will not appear. The plaintiff could call him as a witness but is choosing not to. Trump's attorney's could call him as a witness, and they too are choosing not to. The plaintiff's legal team seems to think they have enough from Trump's depositions to convince the jury to find in the plaintiff's favor. Trump's legal team seems to think Trump is more of a liability than an asset on the stand, in real time, under oath.

While Trump cares deeply about this case, the jury will not hear and does not care about the point you make. They care about the testimony they hear and the decision they are being asked to make.

Funny a crime that she claims that trump did 30 years ago but just came out about why not back in 2016....yet she can't remember anything else from back then.....Kavanaugh got hit with the same kind of play.

She also had an interesting( and appalling) comment about her former husband John Johnson, that’s in her book. I won’t repeated it here, but like I said, it’s appalling.

There ought to be criminal penalties for those who concoct unfounded/unproven allegations of crimes against others, especially when the accuser stands to benefit financially from the publicity. The bimbo who came out of nowhere to make accusations against Kavanaugh was completely incredible, but was allowed to trash his reputation under oath before a Senate panel with impunity on national TV. This seems to be a go-to tactic in the Democrat playbook.

There are penalties. That's what the libel and slander laws are for. They protect people from false, reputation-damaging statements and provide recourse for the victims. The penalties are usually civil, not criminal, but they exist.
