So I sat on the east side of Chicago since Friday, take A 150 load to here
Yesterday and get bumped to #2 today What's wrong with this picture?

I'm thinking a salesperson in St Louis, KC area..or a broker for the western states..might not be the volume of Michigan, but there's money to be made over here too!

Ok here are my numbers since 9/20 when I came back in service after vacation.

First off I try to be proactive in my business. Meaning, for me, if I deliver in KC I don't even stop there after unloading. I head to St. Louis on my dime. I have never gotten a load out of KC in my s/t or Sprinter so now I don't even hesitate.

Another ex. Thursday I delivered at 4am in Flora Il. Unloaded and straight to east St. Louis by 6am 93 miles and got a load in St Louis 12 miles to p/u about 1100. So usually be proactive for me usually works.

DH miles shown on selectus = 532
Loaded miles. = 1891
Total pay = $2371.06
Includes 3 days of layover pay and $54 of empty move pay from Baltimore to Roanoke Va 270 miles.
1 load, pay is unknown. Assumed $500 for these numbers.

Total of 8 loads 15 days. 3 of those were out if service from the 22nd to the 25th. 93 miles from home sat for 2 days and was told freight was slow in the area and to head home if I wanted.

DH % = 28% 532/1891

However actual miles driven is 2858 which 435 additional DH miles.
So actual DH is 967 or 33.8% for all miles or 51.1% for loaded miles.

For 2 settlement periods
Total revenue $2371.06 - $558.73 fuel - $60 QC = $1752.33 or$876.16 per week net (not net net) or .829 per mile all miles.

The 2 weeks prior to vacation I did roughly $4000 per week gross.

My goal is to average $2100 per week gross. After these 2 weeks I am a little behind.

I should also add, last week because of the high winds here in the Midwest 20+ mph, my fuel mileage went from 20.9 mpg to
17.4 mpg. Ouch!

We are actually looking for a sales person for that area.

Hopefully someone that can handle the I29 corridor...from Fargo, ND all the way down to KC. There's a lot of smaller shippers out here and that would alleviate the "get the heck outa KC" thinking. The eastern Dakotas, Kansas and Nebraska and it would pick up western Minnesota and Iowa.

Ran a shorty up to Greensboro, NC. Rate good, but shipper needs a little instruction on their address. Address didn't show on any GPS. It did come up on Google maps.

Followed the directions and ended up in downtown Greenville, SC at a lawyer's office. Pulled into a vacant lot, and called the shipper. When you hear a prompt given saying "Directions to our facility" you know there is a problem. Correct address showed on the GPS and I was 12 miles away. Oh, the company name on the building was different as well. So..... if there is a prompt on directions, why wouldn't the shipper tell dispatch the correct address in the first place.

It's all good. Found it, delivered it, done.

Now!! So after a flight out of Detroit Metro to Orlando Fla and a cab ride to a Orlando suburb, I am now sitting in Savannah GA in my old CV #192....Here is to Dispatch workin their magic and getting me a load out of here and back to the Taylor area....

Anyone know of a GOOD RELIABLE driver that WANTS TO WORK, stay in service and make some money!?!? I am looking..But for now, i load towards home would be good, I already miss the Cargo Max...
