He's just testing the chassis integrity for us. LOL. We'll know in a few months how it handles the heavy loads and the long miles. I'm just glad someone on here is running one and keeping us informed. I'm sure there's plenty of people watching how the Transit actually performs in expediting service.

Hauling more than 3200 lbs in a Transit , Promaster or a Sprinter....is like the Movie ..
Dumb & Dumber too (stupid)

I had 3200 in my Sprinter once. It was literally sitting on the rear axle bump stops, at rest, in a parking lot. Then I starting thinking about the max tire load and the fact that the entire 3200 lbs was at, and behind, the rear axle. One and done...

Thats the magic about numbers even tho the Transit has the sticker for the weight there are few if ANy tire ratings that can handle that weight....the highest rated tire I found so far is at 3200 lbs....after that you need to go up to the big 17 - 17.5 tires...

my thinking on the weight issue.....anything over 3,500 or so should be on a straight...after that you are pushing the suspension and tire ranges to safety limitations.....let a REAL truck take it....

I have NO intention of EVER going back out on the road! Double that if a sprinter is involved.

I don't miss "the road" at all. Having a LIFE is amazing! I have time to load for the rifle, do needed work on my decoys, and research the possibility of making new decoys. I have time to seek out new deer hunting areas, plan duck hunting trips, more fishing. I see a trend here.;)

Somewhere between $350-40,000. I would suggest that you stay away from the very low end and the high end! LOL! Don't forget the range time. One cannot expect to take pheasant if one has no idea how to shoot!
