I also referenced its a spiral....no end....up the wages the cost of living goes up....the wages would be low again...give em another raise....how about a novel idea?....How about a 2nd job work another 8 hours/or 12 part time to bump up the income....look at the hours we put in to make a living why can't the hourly group do that as well????? Why should I ME have to pay.subsidize them to work a meager 40 hours and sit on their respective butts?....instead of burdening the whole of society...

The cost of living goes up regardless - it always has, and always will. Not raising the lowest wages just causes more need for taxpayer funded help [to people - corporations get funds anyhow].
Maybe the wage slaves have kids they need to raise, unlike us. I know I'd rather they focus on parenting, if they can. I think kids turn out better that way.
But even if they want to work a second job, large employers [like WalMart] use computer scheduling to keep labor costs as low as possible. That means their scheduled hours change every week, and they can be sent home anytime, if business is slow, and kept longer if it's busy, so how are they supposed to know what time they will have free?
When did we [as a country] decide that people who want to work and pay their way are not entitled to the slightest consideration?

You quit your day job. Now you're laying on the couch. Are you turning into a Democrat? lol

ME? Become a BUM? Not possible. Mrs. Layout's new business is just about ready to begin operations. My plans for employment are on track as well. Next year may be VERY exciting!

I also am NOT laying on the couch, I have a La-Z-Boy recliner, power! LOL!!

We are too young to retire. We plan on working another 10 years or so, if health permits.

I will say this, there might be a few wrestlers that wont make it to Raw tomorrow night in Detroit after the beating they took.
