cleared a load on Friday around 1pm and by 5pm haven't moved a position to this time.....its real busy out there........(smirk)........tho straights appear to be running well....

I myself just consider a weekend load a kind of bonus..thats why I hate emptying out on a Friday afternoon...good chance I'll stay that way till Monday....

Yeah, we get WAY excited when a weekend load works. It's slows to a near halt about 18:00-20:00 on Fridays, with just a trickle of load opps popping through the weekend. We certainly keep that in mind in Fridays when bidding on loads. Getting a 200 mile load at 15:00 on a Friday is good, but may curse the 500-1500 mile weekend load that pops 30 minutes later.

I guess weekend loads are true emergency loads. Like my load last night.
A Rolls-Royce engine in a Delta 757 decided to break down in Toledo, so I brought a few cases of jet oil and some kind of pump, maybe oil pump, right on the tarmac, next to the plane, with police escort. That is the closest I ever got to a 'naked' Rolls-Royce engine.

I have done 4 loads since Tuesday when i came back for a 2 week home visit. And rhis load here i picked in MD yesterday taking to Huntsville and i have til tomorrow morning to drop. And trust me i have been takinf my sweet *** time. Took me 24 hrs just to get out of VA lol

I did laundry today at the TA in Erie, PA. I'm folding and a guy asks me if the machine washes and drys. He thought the dryer was a washer. I'm wondering what kind of a mess detergent in the dryer will be. SMH... I've never seen anyone even begin to make that mistake before, let alone be pulling the clothes out and still not realizing.
