The big difference between this government and one I would prefer, is this one does everything by force, both of law and physical, where as what I would do is get government OUT of peoples lives and use leadership to accomplish what needs done.

Controlled, weak spirited people will stick with the status quo until it collapses and then and only then do they attempt change. The problem is often that they are too weak to affect change and they only mount a unorganized attempt to keep the control in place. Like Greece. Once the dependence becomes ingrained the people are little better than "popcorn ducks" , easily killed.

Not likely unless things really start to break down. Obama does not have the support of much of the military, which is just one of the reasons he is gutting it. He wants rid of those who would oppose his moves.

The ONLY thing I am happy for is the fact that I am 61 and not 21. I won't have to deal with the terror for very long at my age. I feel bad for my granddaughter. She will likely live to see the horrors that a leftist government will force on the People. I wish I could change it for her sake, but I don't have that power.

You need to consider that very hard. Gun rights seems to be one if your big issues. The next president may very well appoint two justices who will be there much longer than the president. Your vote for will only help obama and rest assured he will not point 2nd amendment justices. Think long and hard before wasting the vote you served our country to preserve.

I HAVE been considering this very hard. I believe that regardless if Romney or Obama wins either will be appointing leftist judges. Romney has a strong anti-gun background, almost as bad as Obama.

Again, I don't see the difference. Please show me, based not on what he says but on his record, where I am wrong.

Not I. I am looking for a way to end the status quo. Neither of the two candidates, assuming Romney is nominated, will do that. Not that they matter, the congress will not change enough to make any difference.

Layoutshooter... You can't possibly be one of those that is not able to draw distinctions between core beliefs and making decisions for the greater good....... Like Giuliani, Everyone was accusing him of being pro abortion.... he does not believe in abortion but the LAW states it is legal therefore he supported the law!!! so everyone ran with the pro abortion opinion NOBODY ACTUALLY LISTENED.. Romney is not anti gun.... but when he was governor he instituted laws just like Giuliani did in NY to better track where the legal guns were and shore up responsible ownership... Neither of them are anti gun with their core belief!!!

Show me. What I have read says he outlawed several types of guns. Again, I want hard proof. I am not going to change on an opinion. MA has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. It is very anti-gun, and from what I can find, Romney did nothing to change that.

What is your problem? Why is it that I have to agree with others to not be ragged on? I have asked for other information than what I have found about Romney to help me with this. No one has posted a single thing. Either no one bothered, OR, there is nothing else. If you have ANY proof that Romney is not exactly what I believe he is, put it up. EVERYTHING I have read puts him in the EXACT same camp as Obama. Prove me wrong, I am listening.
