I agree with that... but the states should do most of what you say.

The problem is that the Feds have usurped the rights of the States, and more importantly, the People for far too long. Things will never be right until the Feds are back under control of the People.

I'm just saying the way those things SHOULD be fixed. One Congress' laws can be repealed by the next. A constitutional convention is concrete.

If Romney does not do ALL of the above, and then some, he is just Obama, which he is. A donkey does not change his stripes.

ON the THIRD day he MUST eliminate 100% of the 'Czars' Dept of Education, Dept of Commerce, the EPA AND the Federal Reserve.

THEN, start a REAL investigation of "Fast and Furious"

Unless ALL of this, and more, is done, I don't trust him.

So, from DC to LA, the opinons express in here are so small that a sampling of expressions and or comments is not anywhere near what the nation is thinking or doing. We are the minority in here and what is said on politics and everything doesn't make a dent in anything,imho. So lets use the total of 506 guest if they are guest against the opinons of 300,000,000 population and there you have it, not much to go on ,is it?

I hear the comment that people are concerned about being slammed. Is this the only reason people don't post an opinion? Nothing wrong with posting something here if you are willing to try and 'defend' your position. I think some times people confuse defending a position with defending themselves.

Why would you expect new? People have their beliefs, and on important issues, they seldom change their minds. Most adults have 'core values' that they stick too. Things that are, in their minds, too important to compromise on.

I post my opinion...not speaking directly at Jim...for what it is worth...which is almost polar opposite of most of the posters in here....Nobody gets "slammed"...they get disagreed with....and IF one doesn't have the moral backbone to post and defend their beliefs....then don't post if the responses are going to hurt your little feelings...

I have, and get slammed for it. I would dismantle as much of the bureaucracy as I could. I would eliminate the Dept of Education, BATFE, Commerce, Energy and the EPA to start. I would get rid of the income tax, move to a one rate for all sales tax, not a VAT, just a sales tax. All welfare would be short term and require work. I would do away with most of the IRS and disarm it. I would stop interfering in the business of the States.
