    Inverter or Generator?

David, Couple of things: Inverter: Walmart's Deep Cycle batteries come with a 36 month warranty, and 18 month free replacement. Generator: Noisy An Espar is fairly quiet - but it doesn't solve the cooling problem either. One thing I know for sure - I wouldn't want to have...

In your opinion who are the 5 largest expedite carriers?

What amazes me about this thread is the apparent willingness to rely on government statistics ...... Between that ....... and the paddle/chinchilla/canoe thing ...... I'm about ready to have an accident (and not vehicular) ..... ....... Bwahahahah .... gotta ..... go ......

Bob Tail Insurance on Cargo Van

Transport Insurance here as well ($105 month for bobtail on a 2006 Sprinter) - and I do the same as the Rev. - pay with a Chase MC card that offers 3% cash back, I also use it for all my fuel purchases. I've gotten two $100 cash back checks since last fall when I got it, and I should have...

How much has the American Axle strike affected you?

Ken, Just about the time you were writing the above I was at the MickeyD's up the street from the Detroiter fielding a call from Dispatch - they wanted to know if I could take one from Woodhaven to San Jose, CA. Of course, I told 'em "Sure" :p I really wanted to post that you were...

    looking for loads

Joe, Perhaps - but if all you're getting from those "other" site is cheap crap - then I'd say "expensive" is only a relative term. I don't know the actual cost of the various levels or options - although I have heard that they wanna give ya the dog and pony show before ya hear the price...

    Canada Canada Rates

Canada has tended to be good for me - loads going in and coming out have both been good (paying) - the only real stinker I got was when I had been out for 5 weeks and was ready to come home - paid for fuel and put a few hundred in my pocket as well. Dispatch just called and woke me up from my...

    Power Inverters?

It wouldn't surprise me if it were. I really don't use the clock on the microwave all that much, though it would make it easy to look from the bunk and see the time - no biggie - as long as I can fry up some chow in a reasonable length of time I'm cool with it.

    Loaded Miles

Mine are up - more than 30% - but I'm with a different carrier.

    Power Inverters?

In theory, yes - but from a practical standpoint not always the case: I have a 2000w AIMS pure sign wave inverter - my microwave has gained 3 hours since I set the clock on it the other day (Monday) I have heard that this is a problem with some AIMS pure sign wave inverters. But man, does...

    Battery Powered A/C

LOL, probably not. :D Yup, the local dealer called back and that was what he told me - it is a split system. (Then he tried to pitch me on the NITE system) I thought I had found the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow - oh well, back to the drawing board.

    Battery Powered A/C

Here's another one - Red DOT - originally based out of Seattle (interesting place for an AC manufacturer .... ) They make larger models as well as the one I linked below - I'm waiting on my local distributor to call me back with pricing: R-6100 Rooftop AC Unit
