W/g loads are $1.30 on flat rate. That's what I was referring to. If I go w/g I'll buy a t-val truck. I'm still truck shopping. Hard to make decisions when your carrier makes major changes mid contract.

I'm guilty of it as a surface truck too but sometimes it's by accident. If I really don't want a load I will often times bid stupid so they see my offer and move on. If I don't they call/message/resend the load to me 5 times so this pretty much works to way over price the load to keep them from...

I will say, a lot of the surface dispatchers I get along with. Some of them I could live without having to deal with but most are ok. But, when I handle a white glove load it always surprises me how nice, helpful and friendly they are.

I think your right. I keep seeing tval people say they are safe because fedex said they looked at it and decided not to make them flat rate, but they forget the last part where they say "for now ". They aren't ruling it out they just can't deal with that much change at 1 time.
