    T-Val is Thermoking only now?

I just got the email from my recruiter saying they won't let the truck I'm about to buy, or was about to buy, on because of the carrier refer unit. I guess technically if I don't post it it's rumor but it's no longer rumor to me. Although he did not point me to a place where I could see it in...

    T-Val is Thermoking only now?

Lol. Maybe. But it killed a deal for me that I really wanted to make happen. It really stinks.

    T-Val is Thermoking only now?

I like my tripak. I have replaced everything on it except the engine, but it has 22,000 hours on it. No experience with their refers.

    T-Val is Thermoking only now?

I talked with my recruiter today who told me FDCC is only accepting T-Val trucks with thermoking units from now on. Anyone else hear this ? Thoughts or feelings? It's gonna decrease all the used t-val trucks value that don't have a tk unit on them.

    Becoming a fleet owner

That's my concern. I actually know a driver that did just that. He'd fill your vehicle for 1/2 the price if u let him pay with his company fuel card. He ended up getting busted for this but it costs the company thousands of dollars. I guess it's not worth the risk. Idk. I'm still a little torn...

    Becoming a fleet owner

As a single truck owner I feel as you do. I don't really take fsc into account as much as total pay per mile. I am a couple months off from owning 2 trucks and I need to start thinking about how to handle these things. I'm really struggling with do I pay fuel or let the driver do it.

    Becoming a fleet owner

I would go less than 60% to the driver if they got 100% of the fsc and that covered 100% of the fuel in the truck, however, here at FDCC fsc is around 28-32cpm. It cost around 35-42cpm to fuel this truck I'm in depending on the cost of fuel. Netting a difference of around 10cpm. With that being...

    Becoming a fleet owner

I've read that about the visor and have been meaning to look at mine to see how hard it'll be to remove. Just not sure how to run those lights back into the cab.

Oh yeah. We tried 57mph and our truck gets better at 60. A lot of the things they have done that costs money I don't think would pay off in our truck because we only plan on keeping this one in service for a year or so more. But their advise has been instrumental in helping us pick out our next...

I agree. Working on getting a better mpg truck in our next purchase for that reason.

Yeah. And it does that for the most part.

Our fsc doesn't cover the cost of fuel. It covers around 70-75% of our fuel costs.

    HOS help

Well we did it! What a terrible way to drive. I felt like a zombie driving a time or two and a wide awake once during my 8 hours in the sleeper. It's fair to say these will be limited to use only as absolutely needed to. At first I liked coming out of sleeper and only driving 2 hours but then I...

    M.P.G. Average on SCR straits.

Unless it's brand new and has the cummins diesel it isn't an scr engine from international. Not sure there will be much data out there on mpg because they just came out with the cummins a few months ago. Not sure on fuel milage. When I drove those types of trucks they were the durastars (4400)...
