Ok, well this is one area I'm not real knowledgeable on. All I really know is to watch the hubs for leaks and that's pretty much it. Is there more I can do as far as preventative maint on them? I drive a t-660 straight truck.

We chose not to put one on this truck and one of the main reasons was weight. We max out at 10,000lbs cargo and many times come right up to that. I'm sure if we go much bellow that we will get kicked down to c-unit status.

Ok. When I bought this truck I was looking at 2 other trucks, one with tandem axles and the other with a lift gate. The recruiter said the tandem axle would make more revenue over the liftgate. But I ended up with a single axle no liftgate truck. I guess I just assumed the liftgate wasn't needed...

It does make me question if I want to go the t-val route or stay dry box and start to build a fleet of dry box trucks. It's less overhead but I keep hearing the revenue isn't as good as a refer truck. Of course no one talks in terms of profit... Just revenue...

And he made a point to say the rest of the truck was perfectly fine. Just the refer brand. And I thought I saw where those new volvo's with 18' boxes and ari sleepers were carrier units. Yet somehow some of them were approved but my truck wasn't.

My question is what happens when you don't know this and build it and it's ready and they won't add it? Then what is the person supposed to do? What if I had bought it and called to sign it up and they told me they wouldn't take it then?
