Are you hauling Haz? Sometimes their are reroutes that make you drive further and they don't figure those out until after you accept the load. That's been common for us. But it is always in our favor. I've never had a load pay less than the load offer unless it became a dry run.

I'm working on a few plots of land for a hotel, b&b or apartments, but in a very urban setting. I have 2 of the five plots now. It'll cost me considerably more than a tval truck, but it has way more long term growth/earnings potential. Land is rarely a bad investment in my eyes.

My blood boiled when I was at FDCC headquarters a month ago and talked to them about all this. Really really made me upset and sad.

No doubt a carrier refer also... Oh boy... And it is 50f. It's very unstable. FDCC usually gets either the truck to a place that dry ice is available or gets the dry ice to the truck ASAP. Not sure why they didn't in this case.
