This iOS update for the forums is terrible on my iphone. Am I doing something wrong ? The timeline section is gone once I "join" and I can't access messages.

    Considering Team Expediting.... Opinions?

Some of us fleet owners run the large custom sleepers with all the bells and whistles and pay for most everything while your out on the road so you don't need to use hotels. This way the $100k you make driving our truck goes into your pocket and not to Hilton, Marriott or Westin. ;-)

    Premium or regular Diesel?

Don't them Canadians run a higher grade fuel than we do? 50 instead of 40 cetane?

I want to bid on load boards.. HELP!

Did you search out this info? I am leased to a big carrier so I don't use any kind of load boards, but I have read many people talk about this on here and they all pretty much say the same thing. There's a search feature on this forums, give it a try. Put in "expedite load boards" and read what...

    good or bad ?

That's cool to hear that they are pretty much just covering ER loads. As a cr we only see the cr loads and don't really know what everyone else is hauling. Those miles sound about like what we are doing as well.

Class 6 Truck Ok for Expediting?

Twin screw? More than you'd probably ever need. I'd say on a vn630 your probably looking at a empty weight close to 24,000lbs, maybe less. This would give you near 18,000 of capacity, maybe more. Cab and sleeper are steel which is heavy, even a D11 is way heavier than a cummins isl. Lift gates...

    PrePass? or BestPass?

Best pass incorporates your prepass, ezpass, norpass, the tolls out in san fransisco and a couple others in one device. Where they can they prepurchase tolls for a discount and pass those savings on to you. They are great.

Volvo VNM 630 D11 would make a great expeditor

Volvo and mack ditched class 7 trucks. Everything they make now is class 8.
  17. Daffyduck528

    good or bad ?

Well, tough to say. I run a CR and if too many units come on board it takes money out of my pocket. On the flip side if FDCC can't cover the loads and another carrier takes these contracts away I'll be equally screwed. DR's are in the same position just not as bad off. More freight available to...

Class 6 Truck Ok for Expediting?

I'd keep it a twin screw. The .5mpg you'll gain will never pay off the cost of the modification. Plus it'll ride smoother and make you eligible for heavier loads not many people can handle.

Class 6 Truck Ok for Expediting?

Hey, I just passed a blue vn630 with an 18-20' refrigerated box on it. It was a single rear axle. Thought you would want to know. Your idea can work. Did not notice if it was D11 or D13.

Class 6 Truck Ok for Expediting?

Only down side I see to a Texas sleeper, I think that's what they are called, is that it limits some of the hazmat you can haul. We haul everything so that would be tough to put limits on us. Tst has a few trucks that are setup this way, but I don't believe they haul much hazmat.
