I have 1 truck the box is less than 50% and the rest are 50%-52%. None of mine are at the 60% mark.

Which Expediter Will Be the First to Use Driver Cams?

I think I'm ok with it. Just have to make darn sure the curtain to the sleeper isn't in view. Could cause some lawsuits for us fleet owners. (Btw Phil, I saw your old truck today. She's still beautiful.)

    Redundant questions of an expediter

I hear you and I do think a seasoned expeditor can do well without it. This guys asking about twic cards and gov clearances. Hazmat is critical to making those tools effective. We came to the conclusion of 100% haz required after looking at the numbers. The people with haz endorsements simply...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

A lot of bases have quit taking twic, but it is still a great tool. And your right when one of the bases that allow it let's you skip that line it's a great feeling. To me a twic and hazmat go hand in hand. My carrier won't apply for a gov clearance for you without the hazmat.

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Yeah. That's a pretty good bit. You figure 3-4 loads per week total so 1/4-1/3 of your income could be coming from haz loads. That means if your doing $600-$700 driver pay per week with a haz you would be looking at $1,000ish a week. Thats why we require them and I think most really successful...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

Maybe. That kind of plan also keeps your drivers poor and makes them easy to steal from you. That said, they are taking more risk than I would. All my trucks are teams with hazmat. Not sure how panther is, but fedex runs too much haz freight to not have a hazmat.

    Redundant questions of an expediter

That's the weirdest pricing structure I've ever seen but I also know nothing about panther. I'm 100% FedEx so maybe that's where the difference is. We do a 40/60 split, plus 100% labor, haz and a couple other items to the drivers. I am at this moment full and don't foresee any vacancies until...

    Redundant questions of an expediter

I disagree with this statement for ES. I'm a fleet owner in their program and I'll put my trucks revenue up against anyone else's and have many times, doesn't appear to be any difference. It is, however, statements from people on the forums that have no clue what there talking about that makes...

They also have a bunch of new dispatchers. Maybe they were just wrong and didn't know they were wrong.

    Delivery times

Same here. Never had an issue. Now maybe the OP was trying to get time pushed out further than the 45mph rule would allow?

Dang. Sending my thoughts and prayers out to the driver, his family and everyone at load1.

Any reviews for A-Plus expediting ?

True. I've had a bad day, probably being overly negative.

Any reviews for A-Plus expediting ?

Digging up a 3 year old thread to make 2 comments about how great a company is and not commenting on anything else on the forums. Sounds fishy. Very fishy.

Can I use my Class B RV as an expediter?

Not sure about that unit but I have a powertech generator in one of my trucks. It's a good workhorse.

    bunk conversion

I think it's called a Texas sleeper? It's legal as long as you have a boot between the cab and the box that meets dot minimum dimensions and clear path from the drivers seat to the box. Just a side door will not meet dot standards for a sleeper. I think most people have a dot approved company...

    Dealerships to watchout for

Agreed. Dry rot tires/ various sizes, leaking tranny cooler, burnt oil, mis ran airlines/electrical all could be found on a pretrip. The fact it took you 2 weeks to find this scares me. You do have a cdl right? As far as a failing turbo and electrical issues, that just goes with buying a used...
