    Mistakes you have made?

Not all can use the bean bag solution. We have a Lowrance 500C that we have ran almost 400,000 miles with and if it breaks we will break I think. "Lori" is hard wired to our dash with a vent pointed at her behind to keep her cool in the summer and hot in the winter. When reading our manual...

    Mistakes you have made?

We did a lot of research before we started, talked to a lot of drivers, read EO every day, attended the Expo, and were actually over capitalized as I was so scared and paranoid about our new adventure. I will never ever forget after orientation Bob telling me oh do not worry too much about...

Hows the the new FedEx CC FSC program working for

The fsc plan has only been in affect since August of 2006 so part of the rates not going up is due to the economy and the increasing number of owners getting their own authority and bidding lower than the companies can. Our pay per mile compared to last year is much higher. We have found that...

    Folding Bikes

We stopped in Thousand Palms CA at the Flying J to get a restart and laundry done. Right across the street is Joel's Bike Shop where we ended up spending a few hours picking out our new folding bikes. They weigh about 30 lbs, three speed, hand brakes, old people's seats, hand bell and basket on...

Hows the the new FedEx CC FSC program working for

I wonder also how this post came back up to the top. But reading back through here it appears as if most that are bashing on the way FSC works with FedEx Custom Critical do not even drive for the company and so do not understand why this program is working so well for us. Without the program...

    Im near Boston

Wow that practice seems really harsh I am glad we have the freedom to move all over the place and not worry about losing our position in the lineup and also have the ability to refuse as many loads as we want and can still stay number one in board position. We enjoy the ability while under a...

A Threat RE: Pictures at a Casino?

The cost of fuel is driving the prices of everything up and how can you afford not to slow down and reduce our highest expense? Our FSC is figured at 9 mpg and every mpg over that we can get really helps our bottom line. Steve check out the difference out on your truck getting 8 mpg and 9 mpg...

    AA / Rigmaster

Well I do not really like the curtains they are bulky and hard to deal with. The front does get really hot using these curtains. I think we will go back to the sun reflectors for the summer.

    What a goof up I did !

Our worst mistake ever was accepting a load going to Manhattan up to the Bronx multiple pickups going to North Carolina and was a return trip. In express we rarely see either of these scenario’s so did not check on the QUALCOMM screen to see that yep the correct boxes were checked it was our...

    Roadcheck 2008

We are in good shape so am not dreading being pulled in on a load where you do not have enough time to wait for the inspection. While going through Mississippi I was pulled over for a road side DOT inspection and passed with flying colors and have a yellow sticker on our windshield. I was...

    AA / Rigmaster

That is a really good idea! We use the black shades on our front windows when it gets really hot and also pull our sleeper curtains. I just put the vinyl up on the windows but they do not seem to block out a lot of heat. I will give Jan's idea a try thanks! I would much rather have it cool...

    mileages

Since it is zipcode to zipcode the mileage should go both ways with over time a 50/50 split on if the miles are long or short. So far tracking our miles I am still finding them close enough to say that us getting on and off the highway are what causes the difference.
