We have this set up. We have over 3,270 hours on our Rig Master and this one is a 2005 model. Ours has the thermostat so we can regulate our heating and cooling and the Rig Master also monitors our batteries. Over all we are really happy with our Rig Master and have had very little trouble with it. Bob does a very good job of keeping up with the scheduled maintenance on it. The only complaints we have with the Rig Master is when it is very hot outside the generator will only maintain the temperature not lower the inside temperature. We use a table top fan though and this helps. This has never been bad enough to have to idle our truck to stay cool. In the winter the Rig Master though has always kept us very warm and no complaints there. One more complaint is the noise; it is very loud and obnoxious. Overall though the Rig Master has saved us a fortune and we are very thankful we have it.

Hey Bob and Linda, Jan made us some window shades out of the silver inulation stuff they sell at Lowe's etc. The kind that has air bubbles in it. It totallly blocks the light and has dropped the temp inside by several degrees. It makes our ProHeat work much better on the cooling side. Layoutshooter

That is a really good idea! We use the black shades on our front windows when it gets really hot and also pull our sleeper curtains. I just put the vinyl up on the windows but they do not seem to block out a lot of heat. I will give Jan's idea a try thanks!
I would much rather have it cool and just have my pretty curtains showing instead of looking like a cave.

We are able to leave the sleeper curtains open and still stay cool now, at least so far. Been pretty hot and humid in some places already and they have helped keep the entire cab/sleeper area comfortable. We like leaving the sleeper curtains open as much as we can. Makes it feel like we have a bigger "room" to live in. The cab area does not become a huge "heat resivoir" like it used to either. Layoutshooter

Lose the black curtains - black absorbs heats, doesn't reflect it. It will turn the inside into an oven - especially if the sun is hitting it directly.

Well I do not really like the curtains they are bulky and hard to deal with. The front does get really hot using these curtains. I think we will go back to the sun reflectors for the summer.
