Why are you selling your truck?

One of our duties as a Team Run Smart Pro is to show our truck to other owner-operators, to prospective owner-operators, and to truck dealers who want to know more about the trucks operation on the road.    At the shows and with the dealers they want to talk with the drivers or the new technology and also the engineers want our feedback.

The new DT12 transmission is finally out in the short hood DD13 engine and we can get all of the other extras we want such as disc brakes all around.   Our new truck will be set up basically as this one, same sleeper, same lift gate, same camera system, same Maxwell capacitor, same LDWS, same wide base singles....

The Caffcadia 1 has reminded us of how much fun it is to drive cross-country in a vehicle that is made to run long distances.   This truck is over kill for what we do as our average load is 1600 lbs....   Why then are we a D box?    One is the ride is fantastic, we are very comfortable with the length, and we are available for more loads.

For those that remember we went from a Class 7 M2 with a different sleeper on it and that did not have a Jake brake system on it to this amazing piece of luxury.   The M2 was a great teacher but it was designed to be a cross-country truck like a class 8 is.   My favorite feature of the sleeper in the Dynabunk and very few days has gone by that we have not put the bed up and used the table.

Our old truck was in the range of 9 mpg and the difference between 9-MPG and a 12-MPG in fuel purchased figured at 140,000 miles a year at $3.80 a gallon is a difference of   $14,778 dollars.

I am including the latest DDEC or engine report on this truck as I think it tells the story of how the truck has been used since it first went on the road.   I am also including some pictures of what all we have.    Any comments are questions please ask.
