Truck Storage Ideas

The microwave can be used to store plates, utensils, and paper towels when not in use. I like to stack things so they can easily be taken out of the microwave when needed. Storing the paper towels in the microwave keeps them from rolling around.

In our Bolt Sleeper the cupboards are very deep and when standing on the bed I cannot reach to get anything at the back of them. There are two ways I handle this and one is using a tray and the other is to use storage bins.

I use the bottom shelf constantly and so this one stores what I reach for the most when cooking. I keep my plastic silverware in a small clear bucket. I can easily get one utensil or I can take the bucket out to find everything I need. This also allows me to see when we are getting low on something.

My new Kitchenaid Multi Cooker is also stored within easy reach. This year I retired my Rice Cooker and stepped it up a notch. The Kitchenaid multi cooker has worked very well and is easier to use. It is also much heavier then the Rice Cooker and I would not suggest the Kitchenaid Cooker unless you plan to cook a lot in the truck for many years.

Since I have the Keurig Coffee maker I have several different types of coffee that I keep in a basket. When that basket starts getting low I am looking for a grocery store.

To keep everything organized to the back of the cupboard I use a tray that a friend gave me many years ago. When I need something at the back of the tray I pull it forward and can easily get what I need. I store my plastic collapsible bowls, tins, and items I do not use everyday on the tray.

On my top shelf is mostly storage. We mix our own nut mixture and so have a large baggie that we use to refill our smaller bags we snack on when driving. I order pumpkin seeds online and store that bigger bag in the plastic box as well. I have extra bowls, plates and paper towels stored in this area. If I have extra coffee this is also kept in this area. I use two plastic totes so that I can take them down if needed. One tote was to big and was not easy to manage.

There are still a lot more ideas to talk about on storage!
