Team Run Smart
The new website was launched at GATS and has started of strong. The main categories for articles are; Truck Smart, Fuel Smart, Business Smart, and Health Smart. Another area is the Pro’s which will be the drivers that are participating in the program and also a small forum area for discussion.
The site is for all makes and models of trucks and is designed to help the driver and O/O get the most out of their business. Each day a new article is posted in one of the different Run Smart areas with room for comments.
Applications are being accepted to become a driver Pro and be provided with a new Cascadia for the Calendar years 2013 and 2014. The requirements are pretty simple to qualify; you must have a clean background check with no felonies, bankruptcy, or unpaid child support etc. The responsibilities are as follows:
Submit two blog posts to teamrunsmart.com each week
Respond to all blog comments and questions within 24 hours
Attend one industry trade show each quarter
Actively promote the Team Run Smart program through conversation with other drivers and by distributing promotional materials.
Team Run Smart Pro Driver trucks will prominently display the program logo, and possibly a custom paint scheme or vehicle wrap.
The Freightliners will have comprehensive warranties and the drivers will be responsible for the upkeep and fuel, registration and taxes.
In addition to being provided a new Cascadia the Pro’s will receive downtime and travel compensation for attending industry trade shows, Freightliner dealer open houses, and other industry events.
