Over the past three years the Caffcadia has carried us on many adventures and at the same time was our main source of income.    We spend months at a time in our truck away from home and as Expediters all of this time is not driving.    In the three years our truck has put on 400,555 miles and that averages out to 133,518 miles a year.   As a team our average length of load is over a thousand miles and most of them are straight through loads from pickup to delivery.    Our truck is good at sitting and waiting with us and then starting up and running hard till delivery.

One of our main concerns when we choose the Cascadia was the quality of the ride, the quietness, and this truck possesses both.   We are able to sleep comfortable while the other is driving including traversing many of the rough roads.   The Caffcadia not only has been a great business partner the truck has attended several special events.   The first big event was going to Fred Smith, Chairman and CEO FedEx Corporation at his offices in Memphis.   The Caffcadia has won several beauty contests and also been featured in several publications.   Our truck still feels new, no rattles, doors shut tight, and the value is still there and will be there for many years to come.   Our new Cascadia Evolution has a lot to live up to.

Before we hand over the keys to the couple that have purchased our Cascadia we have a few details to take care of.   We spent a week shuffling the Cascadia to Cummins to have the ONAN generator serviced and then it was off for the 50,000-mile oil change.   On the way home we were lucky enough to get picked by DOT for a level 1 inspection and that will work for their first inspection at the company where they will be leased on with.    Before we arrive at the Expedite Expo the DEF tank will be filled, the two 80 gallon fuel tanks will be full, and the generator fuel tank will be full.

The Cascadia has been detailed inside and out and is polished to a high shine.   Along with the truck comes a book of records, maintenance records, all of the oil analysis, DDEC reports, and warranty records.   We have done our utmost best to give them the history of our Cascadia from day one of our purchase.

It was exciting and sad to hand over the keys. As we waved good-by to not only our friends but also a truck that has been with us through a lot of amazing adventures we know they will have just as many if not greater experiences.

We are now excitedly waiting for our 2015 Cascadia Evolution with a DT12 and Bolt Custom Sleeper.
