Shoe Chains!

An experience in Fort Worth, TX reminding me why we carry some of the things we carry.   Many years ago I was very excited to see chains for my shoes actually called Yaktrax but I prefer shoe chains.   Luckily I have only used them a few times BUT when needed they were needed.

The shoe chains are much easier to install then tire chains and they slip onto a shoe easily and it is a one size fits all.   Before going inside a building though it is best to take off the shoe chains as they can become slippery on a tiled floor.

Shoe chains take up very little room and anything that can help to keep us from falling and possibly putting us out of commission is worth the price.   I have seen Yaktrax priced around $19.99 and on up.   They are a very simple device and very simple to slip on a shoe and take off.

Once we leave Fort Worth they will go back into storage and I hope that it is another several years before I need them again!
