It's a Team's Life
OH NO Flashing lights
Bob looked in the side mirrors and saw the lights and knew there was no way they were for him. We drive slow enough our biggest worry is impeding traffic. Bob pulls over and so does the officer.
This wakes me up and I have to ask, "Why are you pulling over?" with the reply from Bob " I am being pulled over by an officer of the law". That sure has my curiosity up and I hear the officer tell Bob hello and then say "You do not have a license plate on your trailer!".
Oh how I wish I could have been up front to watch all of this happening as the only answer Bob could give was "We don't have a trailer!". Now the officer makes an odd sound and he backs up to look at the truck again, he looks under the truck, and he backs up again. His next words are " I have never seen a truck like this, where is your license plate?"
Bob goes on to explain to the officer that in Missouri our truck has to have the license plate on the front of the truck. So the officer goes to the front of the truck and rights the numbers down. He is still baffled and he once again says "In Missouri?" Bob tells him yes and next the officer asks for Bob's drivers license and he says he will be back in a couple minutes.
Now we begin to wonder is he going to have to prove something since he did not understand the truck or will he admit he was wrong. At this point all exchanges had been pleasant. Bob sees the officer get out of his car and head back to the truck.
The officer hands Bob back his driver's license and
apologizes for stopping him!
He goes on
to explain the back of the truck looks like a trailer and he thought nothing
more of it as he was walking up.
The
officer told Bob to have a nice evening to which Bob replied Merry Christmas
and both him and us left smiling.
