Odd Loads

We often haul freight that requires special handling such as the use of padding, or that we need to get with our pallet jack or that we have to use our lift gate.   Lately though the freight has just been funny or odd.   We hauled a small ring of gasket material a few hundred miles the other night from one electrical plant to another plant.   We picked up the material in the middle of the night and delivered straight through first thing in the morning.   They came out to our truck grabbed the gasket material with their hands and took off with a smile on their face to fix something.   We hauled a pallet full of printed pizza boxes to a warehouse the other morning.   Yesterday we had a long one, 20 miles, one pallet of ice cream wrappers.   We picked these up a FedEx Freight location and took them to the ice cream plant.   We cannot predict these emergencies and we cannot second guess why some of these things are emergencies but we can haul the freight and be glad someone deemed these emergencies.   One of the nice things we like about expediting is that we make people smile when we show up and save the day for them!
