The weather during the week looked bad but as potential truck drivers these people all showed they have what it takes!   Get out there and verify if the roads really were all that bad, we had no trouble getting to Knoxville as the roads were in good shape.

There were over 40 attendees not counting the vendors and we enjoyed meeting many of them and learning of their goals.   The varied backgrounds always fascinate me and I visited with one lady that was a nurse and another gentleman that was a retired engineer.   Another lady was a school bus driver and her husband was an over the road truck driver, they were looking to become a team in expediting.    Another was a woman that was a semi O/O that was looking into expediting with her boyfriend to drive team.

Terry O'Connell gave an introduction to Expediting and what to expect and Josh Swindoll gave spoke about purchasing a commercial vehicle.    At the end of the meeting was basically a free for all with a panel of those of us involved in Expediting with Terry as the moderator.   Included in the panel was A.C. Allen a fleet owner with trucks at a few companies.

We always enjoy the workshops as we get to meet some really fascinating people and they remind us how much we have changed since our first workshop as attendees.    I know that the newbies that make the time and effort to attend the workshops, attend the expo, and read the forums have a better understanding of expediting and are very prepared to start their life changing journey.

Thanks to all of the attendees who were at the workshop as we sure enjoyed meeting you!

Our next workshop is in Livonia, MI May 14th.
