It's a Team's Life
Home Sweet Home
Many years ago, we decided to stay out on the road over Christmas and the New Year. Luck was not with us and we spent the week away from home and no load. That was not true for many drivers and they stayed really busy and made great money. Our problem was our location.  We figured out during that experience that we prefer to be home and since that time we have not missed a Christmas at home.
We live with our oldest daughter and one of the many bonuses of this is that when we came home the house was decorated! There are a few touches that I like to add that means a lot to me. During our early married life money was tight and all of the ornaments on the tree were handmade or were given to us that have a special meaning.  A few of the ornaments on the tree were painted by the girls when they were little and those mean the most. Hours were spent making ornaments with my mother-in-law and then we would attend small craft shows and sell them. The girls were always a big help.
Home is where we make it and the truck is always decorated and for the season and we enjoy the twinkle of the Christmas lights. The truck always looks a little stark when the lights and decorations are put away for the next year.
As we drive across the country I am always pleased when I get to see Christmas lights that have been left on all night. We wish you a Merry Christmas where ever you might be.
Here is hoping that 2020 will be an amazing year!
