Fuel Mileage update with Trailer Tail
We have had the ATDynamics Trailer Tail now for 2 full months and we are seeing a 3% increase over our lifetime fuel mileage figures. We are pleased with the results and we are thrilled with how easy it is to open and close the tail and open our barn doors on the box.
We have found that we do not have to shut the Trailer Tail often as we are usually parked with the back of the box to the grass and no one can back into us. The Trailer Tail has an added bonus as many of the places we go are not familiar with trucking and we have heard more then one comment about our "Security Device." The comments have been very positive about the security device and we grin and go about opening the "tail" and unloading their freight.
While at home this last time Bob spent his whole time in the shop fabricating skirts for our truck. He did a fantastic job shaping the skirts and fitting them to cover our gaps. We have one gap left under the sleeper and Bob has a plan to cover this space.
Going into winter it will be interesting to see how well this will work for us and as usual we will closely be watching our fuel mileages.
For those of you that might notice we have removed our FedEx
Custom Critical signs on our box.
We
have a customer that would prefer we not have the signs and we decided to
comply.
This gave us a lot of freedom to
add our Team Run Smart logo on the sleeper.
