Friendship startred out rocky...
This friendship started out rocky on both sides and through a set of circumstances we had to give each other a second chance. What we realized was the first impressions, first thoughts, and what we had heard was not really the way it is. Once again I had to learn my lesson to rely on my own thoughts and impressions and not was I was told.
We finally met up with Steve and Kim on Thanksgiving and that one meal and time ended up lasting through the weekend. The more all of us visited the more we realized we had a lot in common. We laughed until we cried, we shared many stories that paralleled each other and we look forward to spending more time together.
It is a wonderful thing when we are given and give second chances.
As we parted company each going of to pickup our next load Kim shared this poem and I would like share it with you:
Expediting Through Life
Over the hills, across the plains
Through snow and ice, and blinding rain
Driving the valleys, of the mountain range
Expediting freight, some secret and strange
The lifestyle of a gypsy, some might say
But we get to see, the USA
We strive each day, for a customers smile
When we achieve this, it makes it worthwhile
Our success begins, from behind the scene
Due to the support, of our FedEx team
Each day is an adventure, that's for sure
With God's good graces, we will endure.
