Driving your life away

I was driving along drinking my morning coffee and was once again reminded of what an awesome way of life we have.   I was able to watch the lightening, enjoy listening to the thunder while waiting for the sun to come.   I have a great view out of our windshield to enjoy these kinds of light shows. I enjoy driving and when I have mornings like this I just feel good all over.   I finally drove through the storm and we made it to our shipper and got loaded.   I then had to drive right back through the storm.   The storm had intensified, the traffic was much worse and it was slow going.   The rain was now hard enough the wipers were on high and I needed all of my concentration to see the road and other vehicles.   I slowed down to a safer speed and continued on down the road and finally ran out of the storm.   It is funny that in the middle of the night with no traffic the storm was all mine to enjoy, then daylight came and more traffic and the storm became more stressful.   Once the storm had passed, the sun came out and I continued on down the road till it was time to switch drivers.   Bob was lucky enough to sleep through all of the storms on this trip.
