Been away from the comforts of home to long… Had to use the restroom last night and I was a little confused.

I always try to not drink any liquids in the evenings, as I do not like the results.   I very seldom drink anything with caffeine after lunch as I have a difficult time going to sleep.    I used to be able to drink coffee all day and into the evening, age finally caught up and I cannot do that any longer.

We have been home for a few days and I am still not in the groove of having all the comforts.   Last night my bladder woke me up and I tried to talk it into going back to sleep.   After tossing and turning I woke up enough to realize there was a bathroom within feet of me.   What a luxury a bathroom is and one I do not have to get dressed to enter.

We carry a port a potty on the truck and it is used when needed.   The port a potty is like what I imagine the chamber pot must have been like and it needs to be dumped often.   It is handy in the middle of the nights, when it is pouring down rain, and when at a shipper or receiver who does not have a restroom.

About the time I adjust to having running water available to me at all times it will be time to get back on the road.   Both have their plusses as being on the road pays much better than being home!
