what I am saying is there are circumstance that happen that clog up different areas....Ifyou had of come alongI20 lasy night you probably first off would have blamed the 30 minute club too....a severe wreck closed 20 eastbound for hours....I would imagine every rest area and truck stop from the Ms line was full...as some parked it early ....and most of the truck stops east of the accident were empty....The J at Temple was a ghost town...

At the loves here just east of Murfreesboro tn on 24 everyone is taking theirs on the pumps. Since I needed one as well I just pulled behind them and started mine then got my fuel.

Parking is full and they are stacking in wherever they fit. It's a mess for sure.

Ok whatever apparently you don't listen

I read exactly what you said....

just the chances of running into a nest of drivers all doing the 30 at the same time...you should buy a lottery ticket...:)

Great, drivers screwing othe drivers at the fuel island taking their 30 min break, what a bunch of A-holes.

If they are tryin to prove a point, then it's lost on me, since the only people their ****ing off are their fellow drivers.

If they want to make a point they SHOULD do it in the travel lanes of an interstate highway. A good choice of roads to do it on would be the D.C. beltway or maybe even on Pennsylvania Ave.

absolutely...time for a bit of civil disobedience maybe?....get out on the beltway and clog up the area....

Nothing like a little civil disobedience to stir the pot. A FINE American tradition.

trouble is...while those guys are circling the beltway...some other bozo will do that other guys load....truckers will screw each other worse then the government will....

This is on a Wednesday, right? What time of day?

tons of logistic warehouses around there, thousands of trucks with morning delivery appointments...sometimes it is just the location...

Good point. As we continue to watch for the truck-parking impacts of the new HOS rules, the impacts will likely vary from location to location.

In a case like that, most if not all drivers would log part of that stoped time as their 30 minute break; making lemonade out of lemons.

just taking an advantage of a situation...pretty much....common sense would almost dictate to log the break right at that point if it would serve the purpose....

You have to be careful when you log your break. Do it too early in your shift and you may have to take a second break. Also, keep in mind that these so called 30 minute breaks can easily take 40 minutes or longer to accomplish. Be sure to budget your time for the reality and not the letter of the law.

That is why I said "If it would serve the purpose"....I understand...about taking it too early...

I KNOW you understand. I was trying to help newbies that may not yet have a grasp of the realities of this industry. You are an "old fart", like me, and therefor are beyond help!
