You do understand trump was not in charge of his businesses by law in order to take the office of the president or we would have never heard the end of it from the Democrats.....if he used personal checks then it's a not a crime....if the business cut a check it's not a crime....if the campaign cut a check its then abuse of campaign funds.

Numerous sources - even liberal ones - indicate he did turn over control to his sons, but it doesn’t matter because he wasn't legally required to. However, considering the demands of the presidency and the sheer number of businesses involved it would only make sense that he turn control over to someone else. In reality, this management structure was probably in place anyway.
