The Trump Card...

Yes, an argument could be made for recusal, but it would be a weak argument. It is common for a judge to see the same defendant in court again and again and the defendant gets into additional trouble. I know of no judge that recuses themselves from the trial of a defendant because they presided over a trial of that same defendant before.
The problem is said judge said he hates trump....

10 thousand new campaign volunteers since the rumor of the indictment.
Millions more donated.
Trump surging to a 30 point lead over other primary opponents and leads all of them combined. Leads Biden too.
And this:

It doesn't work that way. Members of Congress have had a slush fund since 1998 that allows them to pay off sexual harassment claims and other bothersome workplace incidents with taxpayer dollars. What's more, these settlements are under seal, so voters don't get bad press if they're busted during an election year. Notice how this eliminates the need to account for expenditures. Of course this doesn't apply to former Republican presidents.

No Wonder Trump's Legal Team is Chaotic

TODAY? Trump hires a new lead counsel today to represent him at his arraignment? That gives him little time to prepare. I've seen it reported that Trump's legal team is fragmented and in chaos. I found that plausable because he ran his campaign the same way, hiring various leaders and pitting them against each other. But this is astounding. One day before he will surrender for arrest and arraignment, Trump places his legal team under new leadership. Astounding.

"Former federal prosecutor Todd Blanche told Newsweek Monday that he has been chosen by Donald Trump to be lead counsel in the former president's indictment trial." (Source)

Look how this lawyer has to LEAVE HIS LAW FIRM.
Too much blowback from his partners at the firm in New York just because he’s representing a private citizen named Trump.

For one, dont get my hopes up about investigating every member of Congress, second, as long old slick Willy didnt try to claim his payoff as a business expense, the actual payoff is not illegal.

Thats how rich people avoid paying taxes, classify everything as a tax deductible expense. I was wondering why there were 11 counts, Im taking it that he split it up into 11 different invoices instead of one big one.

It would depend on what the lawyer put on the invoice.....everything a business does has to have a paper trail. with trump I think it would be a catch-22 da.mn if he did da.mn if he didn't with alvin braggs....braggs was going after trump no matter what anyone else said.
2 of the lawyers in this case are convicted criminals....one is a known liar and said he will do anything to stay out of jail.

Well if he would have whipped out his personal check book and wrote the check directly to her, there would be no criminal proceedings going on right now.

It seems the pundits don't think adding Blanche is a big deal. Leaving his current law firm may have been related to his contract with them, but nobody's talking about it. Everybody's jumping to the conclusion that Trump made this decision himself on the spur of the moment, but big hitters like Blanche don't take spur of the moment offers. This was probably a team decision and they may have been negotiating for days or weeks. Regardless, it adds someone who has extensive experience dealing with the NY AG's office and a successful track record against them.

Having a lawyer pay a settlement is nothing new.....and then paying the lawyer's bill.
The problem is a book keeping issue and I believe trump did the right thing to pay it with out using campaign funds. Reason I say this is because he would then be charged with campaign finance abuse.
