Trump exercising his constitutionally protected free speech:
View attachment 21861
This is one of the things that bothers me about Trump; he start his statement by making a good point about the obvious corrupt activity and election interference by the FBI, then concludes by offering a remedy that's totally unrealistic instead of a forward-looking solution to the problem. He should've stopped with the period after Country.

The focus right now should be strictly on the Biden's abysmal record in office, his corrupt relationship with his derelict son, the Democrats' ruination of our economic and social structures, and what the GOP will do to start fixing this mess if they win the House and Senate in November. Instead the national focus is on Trump and the FBI's raid on his personal residence rather than Biden's student loan giveaway, the anniversary of his disastrous Afghanistan surrender, our border crisis and the developing Iran deal that nobody seems to know any details about.

One has to wonder if the FBI raid was planned all along as a political distraction to keep the news focused on Trump and away from the critical issues that should be deciding the election. The planning, timing and lack of urgency for this fishing expedition have seemed a bit "fishy" from the start. Trump has plenty of good issues to talk about without digging up the 2020 election again; let it rest in peace.

But how do you feel about Democrat leaning judges? I have only hear of one that followed the constitution out in Arizona that went against the Democrat attorney general over the forensic audit because cyber monkey did that outstanding of a job not just with paperwork but with the level of security and chain of evidence.
In general, I feel the same about all judges, regardless of their political identification. As I said above, exceptions can be found but I believe the overwhelming majority of all judges, whether they are elected by the people or nominated by Democratic or Republican executives (presidents, governors), are learned in the law and take seriously their duty to run fair courts and uphold the law.

When I was politically involved, I met and sometimes conversed deeply with several judges. Two of them became close friends. One of them officiated at the wedding where I married my wife. One of them hired me to work on his election campaign. When my wife served as General Counsel to Minnesota's governor, we saw first hand how prospective judges are screened by the governor's office before they are nominated to go through the legislative confirmation process. I presume the process is more similar to than different from the process in other states and in Washington. The process is good.

I know there are deep-pocket PACS funding efforts to politicize the judicary and get conservative judges nominated. And yet we see these conservative judges ruling against Trump again and again. That's not because there is something wrong with the judges. It's because, for the most part, Trump sucks at bringing credible legal arguments to court. The judges uphold the law. True to their oath, they do not automatically uphold Donald Trump. If Trump brought good evidence and good arguments to court, the judges would likely rule in his favor more often.

In general, you don't get to be a judge if you are a political operative committed more to your party than your country and the Constitution. These are highly intelligent, deeply thoughtful, highly educated, widely experienced, conscientious, and (of course) judicious people. While leaving the door open to make a rare exception, I respect and admire judges. They are wise, intelligent people. I like them.

In our gym, we have a retired judge who is a gym member and a strong Trump supporter. I like this guy too. He and I have had numerous conversations about items of common interest. We smile and are genuinely glad to see each other when we meet. I do not associate with our gym members outside the gym. But if I was asked to pick one to have coffee or drink a beer with, this retired judge would be my first choice.

If Biden can take away trumps clearance then send the doj and fbi after him that's called going after your political opponent. Which only dictators do in third world countries.

But withholding aid to another country until their leader digs up dirt on his rival, that’s ok right ?

Funny you brought up the dictator thing since Trump wants to become one

Fulton County, GA Update: December Indictments Loom

Fulton County DA Frani Willis convened a special grand jury in May to aid an investigation she launched in February 2021 as to whether the former president engaged in criminal behavior while trying to overturn the 2020 election results.

Today, this DA said the grand jury has heard from about 60% of the witnesses she wants the grand jury to hear. She also said she is satisfied with the speed of the investigation, and that she expects the grand jury to conclude it's work by year end. So, if this grand jury moves to indict anyone or any group of people, we'll likely see those before year-end.

Among the witnesses is GA Gov. Kemp, who sought to quash a subpoena that required him to testify before the grand jury. A judge ruled today that the governor must appear, but his testimony can wait until the GA gubernatorial election, in which Kemp is a candidate, is over in November.

A Trump-allied attorney also sought to have a subpoena quashed that required him to testify before the same grand jury. The same judge ruled against that attorney. He is now required to testify. The judge provided that questions that would violate attorney client privilege would be disallowed in the grand jury proceedings, but everything else is fair game.

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has also been subpoenaed to testify to this grand jury. Graham is seeking to have his subpoena quashed. A federal district court judge rejected Graham’s initial bid. Graham appealed to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which send the case back down to the the district court judge to conduct additional inquiry. (Source)

You might notice a difference between these attempts to quash subpoenas and those concerning the Jan 6 committee. The difference is the Fulton County developments concern a criminal investigation. This is not a congressional investigation or a civil dispute. The rules are different and the consequences for ignoring a subpoena are more immediate and severe.

The DA suffered a notable setback a few weeks ago. In July, a judge barred Willis from prosecuting one of 16 so-called fake electors. The elector in question is state senator Burton Jones, currently a candidate for Lt. Governor. The judge said Willis was disqualified from investigating Jones by hosting a political fundraiser for Jones's election opponent. The judge did not further bind Willis. Nor did the judge quash the subpoenas a number of the other electors sought to have quashed. (Source)

At the time, a number of Republicans hailed that decision as a devastating blow to the investigation. With the passage of time, we now see that is not so. The investigation continues apace.

Jones is not off the hook. "The state's Prosecuting Attorneys Council will appoint a new prosecutor to investigate Jones directly, question him and decide whether any case against him can be brought." (Source)

Finally, certain Republicans mounted a recall effort against Willis. After that initial news splash, it went nowhere and no recall-Willis question made the ballot.

What's next? More testimony to the grand jury from more witnesses. More investigative work by Willis's staff (including some "big guns" brought in to work on this case. And possible indictments before year-end.

If you are talking about what he did for Hunter, the difference is what a parent would do for their child( even if he is a drug addict) and what a power hungry person would do to keep themselves in power.

I have never seen any advertisements on Truth, unless you count all the spam bots that are trying to sell the fake medical secrets book......
Looks like they will be advertising now on Truth Social. I hadn’t seen any up to this point, but apparently it’s about to change.
