The fact that the media and Democrats keep calling jan 6th a insurrection is funny because if it really was one they would have brought guns to the fight and be in charge already.....yet nobody in that large group shot anyone......and oh they didn't take over.
It was a protest! Nobody ever said protesting was wrong.

The criteria necessary for an insurrection (see earlier post by Turtle) seem to be met in the May 2020 violence from the Marxist radicals directed at the White House and the sitting POTUS. Not only was a threat posed, but carried out since many injuries were actually inflicted on Capitol police and Secret Service personnel. Using the "Babbitt rationale", they would have been entirely justified in opening fire on these insurrectionists since they were carrying out an intended arson attack on the White House and threatening to lynch the President. Why aren't a significant number of these genuine criminals rotting in a DC jail?
Many of us have probably forgotten the extent of the rioting, property damage and injuries that occurred in DC during the BLM/Antifa mayhem during late May 2020 (see article below). This went on for several days and required calling in the DC police, Secret Service, National Guard and military troops to contain the mobs, protect the White House and restore order. The Jan 6th riot was nowhere close to this anarchy, but regardless is being compared to Pearl Harbor, 9/11 and the Civil War by the mainstream media and Biden/Harris. We didn't see a massive roundup by the Justice Dept of the criminals who actually posed a threat to the White House and the sitting POTUS. Neither has there been continued coverage by the media or outrage from politicians a year later. But then again, it was BLM/Antifa - all year long.

No the cops had guns.....nobody that went into the Capitol building other than law enforcement had guns.
