The Trump Card...

The only one murdered that day was an unarmed woman protester Ashli Babbitt

Apparently her Holiness - St. Ashli The Divine - had a history of being a little more unhinged and violence-prone than some have been led to believe:

Ashli Babbitt A Martyr? Her Past Tells A More Complex Story

And while her cause of death was homicide, she wasn't "murdered" ... she was just stupid that's all.

and very possibly another female protester.

Is that the one that was trampled to death ?

Hey look, Someone is interested in speedy trials now.

Not a matter of "being interested" in speedy trials (now or at any point)

Simply a matter of being aware that a right to a speedy trial exists ... and courts are usually inclined to enforce it, if they have a case before them.

Just one of those pesky facts.

Got it, so scaffold commander isn’t being arrested and charged because they don’t want to clog the courts.

Nope, that isn't what I said.

But it certainly is a possibility.

It's also a possibility that they have identified and arrested or charged him and the case is still under seal with no public info currently available.

Riiight. That’s some funny stuff right there.

Not anywhere near as funny as you and missus being regular viewers of a crime show titled "See No Evil".

:tearsofjoy:

The FBI says manpower is not an issue with the investigation. So believe what they say with a grain of salt.

Oh I do ... particularly given the fact that the guy being quoted is assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office which is heading up the investigation.

It's a PR answer/statement.

What else would he say ?

:tearsofjoy:

But he doesn't speak for the rest of DOJ, particularly the US Attorney DC and the prosecutors who are attempting to negotiate plea deals and are the ones prepping and trying cases.

;)

Maybe they should get some of those investigators from the Police depts. from the show I watch and have them work on that scaffold commander case. I would think they could get an identification and arrest in about 2 days. And after they’re done with that they could find the identity of the person with the funky shoes and hoodie who planted the pipes.
That would take them about 4 days.

Look how the Left responds to an unarmed protester( a Trump supporter) being gunned down. They rationalize to themselves that she had it coming. Very telling.

He is supposed to speak the truth.

And it does not matter about Ashley Babbitt past record....she got shot while climbing through a window while unarmed.....I could understand if she had a knife or gun....
No cops were killed on jan 6th unlike any of the blm and antifa riots in new York, Portland, Minneapolis.....

Right. The officer’s flimsy explanation was that “she was posing a threat”. I’m not aware that any law enforcement agency would justify deadly force with such minimal criteria. There are a lot of instances where rioters “pose a threat”. There has to be more than that. It has to be an imminent threat of great bodily harm or worse. A person, (let alone a 5’2” woman) unarmed and crawling through a window doesn’t meet that standard.
Imagine a security guard shooting a looter crawling through a window. He would be charged the very same day. Or officers handling protests/ riots. They are trained to use restraint. They don’t just go blasting away on someone unless their life is imminent danger. An imminent means last resort. Very likely Ashli Babbitt didn’t even see the officer hiding behind furniture.

She was part of a violent mob of riotous insurrectionists who were involved in an armed rebellion against their own lawfully-constituted government ...

Yet another poor choice on her part.

Her death is certainly tragic and unfortunate but I have a hard time feeling much sympathy for her, let alone somehow elevating her to some sort of status approaching sainthood.

They rationalize to themselves that she had it coming. Very telling.

Don't generalize ... you wouldn't tolerate it as far as Trump supporters go, see if you can at least manage to be consistent.

Right. The officer’s flimsy explanation was that “she was posing a threat”.

Nothing flimsy about that explanation.

I’m not aware that any law enforcement agency would justify deadly force with such minimal criteria.

Many have ... and many will probably attempt to do so in the future.

As far as awareness goes, please see my previous advice:

What experience do you have that qualifies you to make that determination ?

Imagine a security guard shooting a looter crawling through a window.

In that scenario you're talking about a lone looter.

Staring down a mob of angry rioters who are actively attempting to violently break into an area which contains, or provides direct access to, the elected officials you are charged with protecting is a much different scenario.

Particularly given the fact that warnings were given to cease and desist.

He would be charged the very same day. Or officers handling protests/ riots. They are trained to use restraint. They don’t just go blasting away on someone unless their life is imminent danger. Hey I get it - being pissed off and bitter because the insurrection didn't succeed and there were tragic consequences isn't surprising.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Or maybe they should just continue to do what they have been doing ... a process which has yielded charges for 725 individuals so far.

I would think they could get an identification and arrest in about 2 days.

Thinking some random thought is plenty easy enough.

Being able to think it however does not mean that it actually has any basis in how things work in the real world.

And after they’re done with that they could find the identity of the person with the funky shoes and hoodie who planted the pipes.
That would take them about 4 days.

I suggest that they first go after all those old, unsolved "cold case" files that exist in police departments throughout the nation.

Why, apparently they're so good, they should have that problem solved in less than a month.

Just like how it's shown on TV !

Consider the case of Kim Potter, the police woman who was recently convicted of accidentally killing a criminal with an outstanding arms warrant who was resisting arrest. She's looking at 10 yrs in prison while the fool who intentionally shot Babbitt goes free without a slap on the wrist. The Democrats in DC are protecting this guy from the judicial process he deserves. Maybe when the Republicans take back the House in Nov they'll revisit this case.

Welcome to the justifiable use of deadly force.

One shoot was investigated (twice) and deemed a good shoot.

The other one not so much.

The Democrats in DC are protecting this guy from the judicial process he deserves.

Nah.
