How quickly we forget that both the FBI and the National Guard offered assistance to the Capitol Police prior to the event and their offers were rejected flat out. One only has to see the video to understand how woefully untrained and unprepared these keystone cops were in dealing with this large crowd. One would think they would've at least had the sense to set up a perimeter and make sure key areas were protected. You say he incited a riot. There are multiple reports that a lot of it was preplanned about a couple months. So his speech didnt incite the riot. Also there is a report that Trump requested that 10,000 National Troops be ready. Both Sgt. Of arms in House and Senate didn't take action on the request. What did Nancy and Mitch know and when did they know it? This impeachment thing could very well be mostly a coverazz excercise for gross incompetence.
It makes no sense that Trump would try to incite a riot when he also wanted National Troops to be present. # Factsmatter1

You responded to RLENT asking who got killed. Does it really matter who. The fact of the matter is 5 people died that day. That should be directed at someone else. I'm not the one who said "got people killed".
I'd like to know an accurate number of the two crowds. I keep hearing people saying over a hundred thousand were there. But other estimates have said much lower. But 10,000. troops with riot gear with pepper spray, tear gas, and rubber bullets used when necessary would have clamped down any unrest with minimal injuries. How quickly we forget that both the FBI and the National Guard offered assistance to the Capitol Police prior to the event and their offers were rejected flat out. Unlike some I'm not in favor of criminal referrals without evidence.

One episode with the Police that was strange was when a video showed them standing by the glass doors and that camera guy Jaden X told them to leave and they just moved out of the way and let the Kevlar helmet guy break the glass. That is when that woman began to climb thru the opening and was quickly shot and killed. There are a couple of very "questionable" moves that they did. For one, why did they just nonchalantly leave their post in front of the doors? Didn't they know that there were additional police behind the door with guns drawn and already at Defcon1? Not sure if they knew that or not, but no warning commands that if you enter you will be shot. No attempt to stop them from breaking glass. No attempt to use necessary force less than lethal to subdue the unarmed woman by the officer that did the shooting. How quickly we forget that both the FBI and the National Guard offered assistance to the Capitol Police prior to the event and their offers were rejected flat out. Yes. False
Well, for one the impeachment document entered by the Democrats said that one officers died as a result of getting hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. That assertion(which you also repeated) appears to be false. They havent found evidence that the officer was hit over the head or that he suffered blunt force trauma to the head, according to reports But it was repeated over and over again in the media as fact.LOL ... yup.
But then some folks can't see evidence when it's laid out in front of them.
At least the ones who aren't fully delusional anyways.
When political power (and saving face) is at stake, respect takes a back seat.

There are reports that the officer may have died from a stroke or had a reaction to the pepper spray.
It makes you wonder why they're rushing through the impeachment trial with erroneously information in their charging document.
Here is the report I was referring to:
