But never down the road. Maybe down by the river.Your always just up the road.

Ok.....not just up the Road, nor down the road but always Over the Road. But never down the road.
Sometimes up a creek! But never down the road. Maybe down by the river.
For a no experience fresh out of school rookie I can't really be too picky. I was also offered a triaxle dump truck but no benefits so that's a no. The whole reason to switch to tractor was more steady work and benefitsThose rates and accommodations are pretty disappointing to hear. No wonder semi drivers want to drive sprinters. After taxes, that's way too many miles needed every week for me to jump back into a semi
Lol.....I'm over the hill....Sometimes up a creek!
I'm so far over the hill I'm at the bottom again!Lol.....I'm over the hill....
Ya, but there's no way but up, so you're good to go!I'm so far over the hill I'm at the bottom again!
IMO you should go with the attitude of being picky. Sell yourself rather than be one of the herd. #.02For a no experience fresh out of school rookie I can't really be too picky. I went thru the far left lane....BUT i didn't have a load on.....and was a RV....Well yesterday didn't go as planned. Load going to DC was not ready to for a few more days. Took load from Guelph to Port Huron. Then got home had dinner and phone rings with a Fraser Mi to Romulus. Get to shipper to find it is locked up tight and no one around. Get TONU for this load. Got back home and called it a night.
Nothing yet for today. Currently at Belle Tire getting tires balanced and rotated. Trying to make these last until Thanksgiving, then new shoes for the Sprinter.
FYI. Anybody coming through Sarnia into USA be aware they are working on the pavement to the two right lanes for trucks. So watch for back ups. Asked the gal in the booth how long it would be like that and she said she didn't know. So you are now warned.
love it....kinda same problems I had....BUT you must do it their way till you get out on your own....many don't downshift every gear and just use up the brakes...First day driving on the road and my training partner can't hit a gear to save his life but the throw out bearing in the truck is shot so they're letting us finish it off. Even the instructor is having issues but he said that it's good practice in case it happens when on the road and we're trying to delivering a load then get to the shop. I can't manage down shift to 4th to save a baby seal and boy this is tough lol
Our driving instructor is a 70yo with 45 years driving and 5 years teaching experience. He's all about up and down shifts and braking down and yelling over this old freightliner lollove it....kinda same problems I had....BUT you must do it their way till you get out on your own....many don't downshift every gear and just use up the brakes...
