Your insinuation / inquirey that the carrier should keep the "fleet owners" units moving while asking questions in a forum that in mostly made up of 1 unit O/O's kinda flys in the face of thinking you will make friends with those "single unit" O/O's....unless i read that wrong, it looks like you were saying, "hey i drive for a fleet owner, so the carrier should do all they can to keep him happy and me moving'......at whos expense do you think that would happen???

Don't get me wrong, i own 2 units (just a wee little owner/business person) id love for my carrier to give me favored treatment (and more then a few will be right in here to twll you he does, lol, but it certainly isn't because i am a "fleet owner"), but you can ask Fleet owners with many more units then me, our carrier does not do it.....and i while id love it, i don't expect it...BUT..thats why i bribe dispatch with cheesecake and donuts....thats how how i "influence people and make friends..." I even make sure the Owner of the company gets a nice big slice of Chocolate covered Cheesecake...reminds me i need to make 3-4 more and deliver them, Thanks...

And just a side note, if you think this thread has been sarcastic, lol..stick around a while, as the old song goes, "you ain't seen nothin yet"....and me personally, lol i am a babe in the woods compared to the 'real deal" sarcastic posters here...LOL, i've even seen 1 or 2 in this thread....but you have to understand, if you were having a few "pot shots" taken at your posts, they just might be ignored all together.....:)

And as YOU know from experience it just might be you on ignore.......LOL

The guys new....cut him some slack.....;)

Yes you indeed read it wrong. I was simply making a general observation if some say it works one way it must another. My so called fleet owner only has 4 units so maybe my use of fleet and what was "assumed" by you didnt match. Im here for information and you seemed to jump all over my posts with rolling eyes in another thread yesterday. I'm not here to argue really. Peace.

Thank you and I guess I should clarify ... It's cut "her" some slack. Have not really added gender to my profile. Been at this 83 days, I'm really really new.

Ill post on this thread but also recognize that you are new with only 83 days in the industry. Your post draw sarcasim because they show that you did every little research before you went to work...if you had done the needed research before you got into the van, you would know have had the answers to your questiones in both threads long ago..they are both basic info....

Take the fact that you stated that you have a 100% acceptance rating...if you had researched the business, you know that that is not a good thing..as was pointed out in this thread....not every run is profitable for you or your owner..it will be for the carrier, but then he isn't paying your bills....you are....so admitting that again shows that you did little research and while you are seeking it out now, people look at those in this situation and shake their heads....

Sitting for 3 or 4 or even more days is not out of the question even for some people that have been doing this for yrs...but it spoken about in here all the time....So...no one here is "picking on you" , but this business requires a thick skin and most in your situation, don't make it ...thats not a shot at you, its a fact...its one of the reasons Panther and many other carriers have a continous weekly "orientation"....people get into a owners van and think this is a quick way to make an quick easy buck, and when they end up sitting for days on end, and not knowing how to deal with their carriers "systems"...they can't afford to stay and they quit...hopefully you have set yourself up financially to beable to deal with small or even no pay check every once in a while, because it happens...

Don't take the sarcasim personal (yea the question on the book was kinda a personal shot, but certainly not over the top) ask your questions, but don't be surprised after a few you are told to "do a search on the topic", because the same question has been asked and answer literially hundreds of times, and people get tired of answering them 3 times a week....(there is a constant flow of Panther questions on sitting) and dont be surprised when some while answering that same question 3 times this week answer it, but are sarcastic too....

As for arguing, hey, if its good for husbands and wives.....:) I am sure you have heard of making up!!! :)

I didn't start either of those threads but merely tried to get past some repeated generic answers and get more information that I can utilize . maybe I'll save specific questions for PMs with those whom may have patience for my questions.
Trust me I lurked awhile and read and even know what your van looks like inside and out. I was prepared however I started at a bad time of year and knew it. That hasn't been easy however I'm trying to beat the odds of why so many are passing through orientation. I have a good fleet owner and want to make it for his sake as well and will.
I admire the experience of many on here and hope to play a more active part myself in the future whom won't be put on ignore. I don't expect everyone to agree with me and can dish it and take it but guess I felt that I hadn't dished it yet.
Consider us made up then.

"Newtothis", You really need to get the Chef's recipe for the cheesecake and pass it on to your dispatcher, then you will be secure in knowing that your revenue will rise and your popularity will be greatly enhanced. Wow all that in one sentence. LOL!

Yes indeed..that why you can do has i have done the last 2 runs...dead head over 800 miles on your own dime to position yourself in a better place to get loaded after stting 1 day in each place....yeap, we all sit, but i dont sit more then 2 days unless i like the place so since my carrier will only pay for an empty move after they have paid me to sit for 2 days, if i ain't up to sitting, i move empty on my own..the last 2 moves were right at 410 miles each...and that was inbetween just 2 loads....but its part of the business as far as i am concerned..and beside, i am on vacation all year, so movin is the only way to see the country...well to see all the neon lite up at night!!! LOL....Yea thise cheesecakes do wonders!!! :)

I hear a sense of whine in your voice. LOL! All that sitting you could have made a couple of cheescakes and sent them "Fed Ex custom critical" overnight and you'd have a great run waiting for you.
By the way have you changed the gearing in the back end to 373 yet? Really need to think about it with the gas prices going screwy.

You will get that much with steady driving and my last install was $1,000 bucks flat. You will be amazed at the difference in everything. Glad to hear your doing well this early in the year. Talk later.
