I'm in Davenport after delivering an 878 mile barn burner for E I G H T Y C E N T S.... A LOADED MILE, plus deadhead. Drive less, make more. Or something like that. I forget. It was catchy, tho.

It's been a crummy week for me, too - but at least I have a toaster, lol. Seriously - toast is something no one offers except full serve restaurants, and they don't seem impressed when that's all you order 'to go'...But times like today, when I back to the dock and no one is anywhere around receiving and I finally find someone who says "They're all in a meeting, check back in 45 minutes " it's nice to make some toast & coffee while I wait - kept me awake, at least.
The toaster is 750 watts, and the VoltMinder shows it's ok with the 2500 watt inverter.
O - don't forget: bacon & tomato sandwiches, too!!! :D

I grab extra Mayo pacs from a Speedway...for just that! And to make tuna sandwiches....They don't go bad or need refridgeration...

Been a tough two weeks in the world of expedite that is for sure. Trust me, we are doing our part. When things are like this we work harder than ever, but often we are able to produce less. As a company we have a program that costs us more when things are like this. Good or bad, we are all in it together.

And I'm betting you never told him about that hammer episode with the toilet either..*snicker*

WHOA!!! Methinks this comment needs to be explained in great detail :)

As for John, I don't think you could afford him. I don't know the exact mileage from Taylor to Bison, but he would have to "deliver" himself there. So....at over a $1.00 a mile for all miles, it could get a bit expensive. That doesn't include the Jameson that would be required either. :)
